The Great American Beer Festival, or GABF, has a history steeped in people getting together to enjoy beer. For over 30 years, it has been the place to learn about brewing styles and showcase your ideas.
The event has grown to have hundreds of thousands of guests in attendance over 3 days and has so many moving pieces, you can feel lost as an attendee.
Not to mention.......the sometimes almost instantaneous sell out of the tickets for the sessions. Even obtaining a ticket aside, you may be thinking that you're not into drinking nonstop for 4 hours straight, but that is not the only way to enjoy GABF.
For example, this year marks Black Girls Brew 8th year attending and volunteering on the Brew Crew. There are a lot of volunteer opportunities at GABF from Beer Geek to Safety duty and you can surely find your niche.
If you're an homebrewer, then partcipating in the Brewer's Association amatuer competitions throughout the year can win you a spot and a chance at the big competition.
And of course...there are ways to participate as a vendor or micro/craft brewery.
